GIRLS NIGHT IN ! ! ! !
MERCHANTS PARTNER TO RAISE AWARENESS OF BREAST CANCER WITH “GET PHYSICAL” EVENTS
Hudson, Ohio (September 24, 2008) – Grab the girls and get ready to paint the town pink! In an effort to spread the word about breast cancer and educate the community, Lori Ferguson, Curves of Hudson owner, Sandy Millsaps, owner of Fine Reflections Salons in Hudson and Stow and Karen Aker, independent beauty consultant, have partnered to host two breast cancer awareness events in conjunction with the Merchants of Hudson campaign, “In the Pink.”
The “Girls Night In” and “Girls Day In” events will be held at Curves of Hudson, 180 West Streetsboro in the Acme Plaza on Tuesday, October 14 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 22 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Fine Reflections Salon, located at 46 Ravenna Street in Evaporator Works.
Both events are open to the public and guests will be treated to services such as chair massages, manicures, skin and makeup consultations, refreshments and raffles. Guests may also watch a short video featuring breast cancer “thriver”, Olivia Newton John, Curves founder Diane Heavin and world renowned breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Ernie Bodai, along with a demonstration highlighting the Liv® Aid product.
Liv® Aid is designed to help women with breast self examination and the early detection of changes in the breast. Curves will be giving away self exam kits including the Liv Aid product to any guest that participates in a Curves Smart equipment demonstration and completes a Fitness Assessment. The product will also be available for purchase at Curves throughout the month of October.
The Girls Night / Day In events are open to the public but space is limited and reservations are recommended. Proceeds from the event will benefit breast cancer research.
